KCLWMS is a society dedicated to giving the more adventurous student a place to learn and practice medicine in places where others wont go!
Focusing on pre-hospital medicine in all environemnts, we aim to equip you with the skills you need to survive and thrive from mountain peaks to war zones - we aim to find ourselves prepared for any adventure.
We welcome all students from any background and look forward to inviting you into our community!
Wilderness medicine is a field of medicine and research concerned with providing emergency care in remote settings. Practitioners will focus primarily on evaluation, triage and pre-hospital treatment of acute injuries or illnesses that occur in such settings, and in the emergency evacuation of victims.
